Stephanie Culen and Derek Beres have collaborated to create a 200-hour RYT teacher training program that will be hosted at Equinox Fitness Clubs. We are excited that many amazing guest teachers will be joining us during the course of the training, including Carlos Pomeda, Jason R. Brown and K. Michael Ferranti. The six-month program will cover all the fundamentals to become a successful yoga teacher, as well as equipping students with new awareness and insight for a more developed personal practice. Whether teaching is in your future or you simply want to dive deeper into your studies, this program is designed for you.
Stephanie is the National Yoga Events Producer for Equinox, and has been on the teaching staff since 2001. Her signature Sacred StrengthTM classes are an inspirational and therapeutic blend of strength and grace that is quite simply, yoga poetry in motion. She encourages students to access qualities of awareness and gratitude, bringing consciousness to the somatic experience through asana and meditative practices, ultimately transforming mind and body from the inside out. Stephanie believes in living an authentic, joyful and passionate life through a process of playfulness, presence, self-study, discipline and surrender.
Derek is the creator of Earthrise YogaTM, which fuses his twelve years of movement forms that have included various martial arts and dance systems. He is also a certified Budokon conditioning teacher, and has spent 15 years practicing jnana yoga, the yoga of knowledge. Derek strongly adheres to the tried and tested idea that a sound mind is accomplished with the maintenance of a sound body, and his vigorous and challenging Vinyasa-based classes are as emotionally stimulating as they are fun.
Together these two teachers promise to offer an enlightening and empowering program for all who attend.
